Nicole LeBlanc is Vice President, Markets for the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), overseeing market design, forecasting, ISO tariff, market analytics, and commercial procurement. With nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector, she has engaged in transmission planning, policy development, strategic planning and a number of regulatory proceedings with the AESO.
Prior to this role, Ms. LeBlanc was an economist at the Canadian Energy Research Institute (CERI), specialising in the economic research of Alberta's oil sands sector.
She holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calgary.
