Patrick Fortier-Denis has almost 15 years of experience as an engineer, he earned a degree from the ‘’Institut maritime du Quebec’’Rimouski, Quebec in 2010, and one in mechanical engineering from ‘’École des technologies supérieurs’’Montreal, Quebec in 2015. Patrick started out his career as a naval architecture technician at Ocean Group(2010), went from there to Innovation maritime in 2016 as a project manager and then engineering team lead. He has been a marine engineer for Conception Navale FMP since 2020 and founded Swell Boats in 2022 in partnership with CNFMP
He founded Swell boats to bring innovation to the industry. His primary work has been the electrification of commercial boats; he conceived the ‘’Ti-Ovide’’ a hybrid fishing boat in 2022 and it was a great success, fishermen adopted and loved it. His experience covers workboats under 45m in a wide variety of application as well as both design and production.
