Ahmed Khan is a maritime professional with a background in Marine Engineering and 10+ years of experience in the maritime industry. Ahmed’s previous roles include: Engineering Officer – Onboard a diverse set of vessels ranging from arctic tugs to dual duel/hybrid ferries and Fleet Management – Technical management of dual fuel/hybrid ferries. In his current role as Project Manager at Seaspan, Ahmed is directly responsible for the development of primary assets including LNG bunkering infrastructure and state of the art LNG bunkering vessels. This exciting role has also had Ahmed involved with Seaspan’s alternative fuels and emissions reductions initiatives including: Biofuels, Electrification (terminal and vessel) & New technology implementation (EV shunt trucks, propulsion battery systems, etc). A third generation Marine Engineer, Ahmed’s admiration and passion for this beautiful industry runs deep. With a long-term goal of continuous improvement and maximizing efficiencies, Ahmed is driven by the opportunities for innovation and is constantly inspired by this profession.
