Sergiy Yakovenko is a President of Albion Marine- a multinational corporation with a head office in British Columbia. The company is dedicated to providing the maritime and offshore industries with consultancy, engineering, site supervision, fabrication, retrofit, staffing and EPCM project management services worldwide. Albion Marine group of companies provides overall management and execution of technical, operational, budget and construction aspects of retrofits, new build and conversion projects, including integration of new technologies such as ballast water treatment, hybrid and alternative power, and air emission abatement, as well as energy efficiency innovation and fleet optimization upgrades. Over more than 40 years of his maritime career, Mr. Yakovenko held various senior technical, operational and project management positions with shipyards, OEM and shipping companies. Most recently, he served 15 years in project management and technical management roles with Teekay Corporation, Canada. Sergiy holds degrees in Marine Engineering from Odesa Maritime Academy in Odesa, Ukraine and Patent science from the Institute of Patent Science. He is First Class Marine Engineer, Power Engineer and Lloyd’s Register certified Superintendent. Sergiy is a technology enthusiast and vivid outdoorsman.
