Howard Wong is the Director, Marine within the Industrial and Technological Branch at the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development. He is responsible for the Industrial and Technological Benefits and Value Proposition on National Shipbuilding Strategy projects including the Canadian Surface Combatant Project, Joint Support Ship and the Polar Icebreakers. During his tenure at the Department, Howard has held a number of management roles including investment review and aerospace support programs. Prior to joining the Department, Howard worked for a number of aerospace and defence firms, including Honeywell and CMC Electronics-Esterline, in business development and finance roles. Howard began his career as a scientist and engineer working for Lumonics Inc. Howard holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering Physics) degree from Queen’s University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
