Iain Martin obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Alberta in 2018, followed by a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Carleton University in 2022, where his research focused of improving marine safety through advanced simulation and automation of shipboard equipment. Since 2022, Iain has worked at Gastops Ltd. as a simulations engineer, developing high-fidelity simulations of marine and aerospace systems with a focus on advancing equipment health monitoring and reliability.
