Richard Kennedy is an accomplished professional engineer and currently serving as DNV’s Business Development Manager for Canada’s central and east coast regions.

With over 25 years of dedicated service as principal surveyor, station manager and business development manager at DNV, Richard brings a wealth of expertise in engineering, management and business development within the Offshore and Shipping Industries. In his current role, he oversees client relations, contract negotiations, and technical support/regulatory compliance for both the shipping and offshore industries. Richard’s customer-centric approach is rooted in addressing contemporary challenges within the Merchant Shipping and Offshore sectors while also anticipating future trends in Decarbonization and Digitalization within emerging markets.
Richard holds a bachelor's degree in Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
