Colin is a graduate of the Nautical Science program at the Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. He sailed up to senior navigation officer on various vessels including shuttle tankers, cargo ships, tugs, and passenger vessels before transiting to shore-based roles. For the past 10 years has held various vessel and safety management roles in Ontario and Eastern Canada in both government and private organizations. Currently serving as the Regional Operations Manager for the provision of Marine Services for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Colin is responsible for the operational management of the intra-provincial ferry fleet including both owned and contracted vessels.
