Andrew Kendrick is a naval architect with 50 years of experience in areas such as ship design, applied research and development, and regulatory development. He worked on the IMO Polar Code, the IACS Rules, and the Canadian Arctic Shipping Safety and Pollution Prevention Regulations, including managing joint research projects with organizations in Canada, the US, Finland and Russia. Following his retirement from Vard Marine in 2020, Andrew was President of SNAME in 2021-22. He is now an independent consultant, with a continued interest in Canada’s Arctic.
