Antti Virkajärvi (Master of Science (Tech)) is the manager of the fire testing team at Marioff, global leader in the water mist fire protection industry. He has 20 years of experience on fire testing with the HI-FOG water mist systems, having conducted several different test series in accordance with IMO fire test protocols (Res.MSC.265, Circ.1165, Circ.1272). He has been and continues to be involved in the development of different firefighting standards in the marine (IMO) and land environment (CEN). He is a member of the European standardization group currently developing a fire test protocol for Li-ion batteries.
