With the increasing worldwide prevalence of myopia, predicted to be 50% of the world’s population by 2050 and the associated increase in high myopia, the Canadian Association of Optometrists has published a position statement supporting the WCO position that Myopia Control should be Standard of Care. This course will provide an overview of the current options for managing myopic patients including contact lenses, spectacles and pharmaceutical options. It will also cover what’s up and coming and what Canadian practitioners can look forward to adding to their myopia management repertoire.
