Dr. Mark Cicero is a fellowship trained Diagnostic Radiologist, Integrated Engineer and the Co-founder and Co-CEO of 16 Bit, a Canadian-based company which develops machine learning algorithms for healthcare. Prior to completing his medical residency at the University of Toronto, Dr. Cicero completed his engineering and medical degrees concurrently in a combined 6 years from Western University and McMaster University respectively. During his final years of residency, Dr. Cicero co-founded 16 Bit with the mission of improving population health and healthcare efficiency globally. Dr. Cicero holds a U.S. patent for technology to detect low bone mineral density on standard x-ray. 16 Bit has received over $2 million dollars in funding and has two Health Canada licensed products which it is commercializing globally while continuing to develop new and innovative products leveraging recent advances in generative AI. Dr. Cicero is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Radiologist AI working group.
