Dr. Elena Adela Cora is a diagnostic and interventional neuroradiologist at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Canada. She completed her radiology residency and PhD in the United Kingdom, with her doctoral research focusing on advancing acute stroke thrombectomy treatments. Further honing her expertise, Dr. Cora completed her neuroradiology fellowship in Canada, where she continued her work on optimizing acute stroke management.
Dr. Cora has a particular passion for education in radiology. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing a training course that equips radiologists with essential skills for interpreting CT angiography (CTA) in acute stroke cases, ultimately enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes. In addition to her clinical and educational roles, Dr. Cora serves as the Undergraduate Lead for Radiology at Dalhousie University, where she guides the next generation of medical professionals in foundational radiological principles and practice.
