Dr. Christopher Filippi

Dr. Christopher G. Filippi, “Risto”, is currently a Senior Associate Research Scientist at the SickKids Institute and Chief of the Pediatric Neuroradiology at the Hospital for Sick Children and Professor of Radiology at the University of Toronto. Formerly, he was the Alice Ettinger-Jack R. Dreyfuss Chair and Professor of Radiology the Tufts University School of Medicine. He graduated from Cornell University Medical College and completed training in diagnostic radiology at New York Hospital-Cornell and a 2-year neuroradiology fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine in pediatric and adult neuroradiology. Dr. Filippi is the Past President of the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology and Eastern Neuroradiology Society. Dr. Filippi was formerly the Director of MRI Research and Pediatric Neuroimaging at the University of Vermont and Division Chief of Neuroradiology at Columbia University. His research interests include artificial intelligence (AI) and translation of emerging MR techniques, particularly diffusion MR, glial lymphatic flow, neuroinflammatory) disease, and adolescent brain development. He has more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and more than 100 presented/published abstracts at national and international meetings. He formerly was Co-Chair of the Neuroradiology Section of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) Program Committee and a founding member of the ISMRM Pediatric MR Study Group. Currently, he is a member of the Radiology Society of North America’s Scientific Advisory Council. Dr. Fililppi was a Senior Editor at the AJNR and Co-Chair of the AI Committee for the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR). Dr. Filippi was recently named a fellow of both the International Society of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Medicine and the American College of Radiology (ACR) and was one of the inaugural fellows of the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR).
