Modernizing Regulatory Structures to Enable Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for Storage
Friday, September 26, 2025, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Successful grid modernization is key to the approval and implementation of distributed energy resources (DER) for storage projects. Energy storage technologies are relatively new and the appropriate regulatory structures, commercial constructs, as well as consistent paths for permitting to incentivize and implement these projects, will be critical to their inclusion in future electricity grids. This panel will discuss the regulatory, commercial, and permitting changes that will best enable storage DERS, and the critical role for governments in shaping this process.
