Experience
• Acted for the City of Edmonton in respect of its $2 billion plus Valley Line LRT Project.
• Acted for the City of Vancouver on the Canada Line SkyTrain
• Acted for Metrolinx on procurement and construction matters on the UP Express rail link project.
• Represents various owners and contractors on several Canadian contractual interpretation issues and COVID-19 related advice in respect their major infrastructure projects.
• Lead counsel to a large municipality in Alberta on all infrastructure related matters for its major projects.
• Lead counsel for various ownership groups in their design and construction of multiple commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects in British Columbia and Alberta.
• Represented an LNG developer in its proposal to design, build and operate an LNG Plant in Ontario.
• Represented the Government of Canada in respect to a construction agreement review and due diligence relating to the purchase of the Trans Mountain Pipeline system from Kinder Morgan for C$4.5B.
• Acted as counsel to Alberta Health Services for the completion of a joint venture between Axium Infrastructure and Revera Inc. to acquire and share ownership in 32 long-term care facilities across Canada.
• Acted for the concessionaire in the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance for the McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant Project.
• Represented the City of Edmonton in the Edmonton LRT Valley Line Project.
• Represented the Government of British Columbia in the design, build, financing and maintenance of the Okanagan Correctional Centre Project.
• Represented B.C. Hydro in the design, build, partial financing and rehabilitation of the John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project in Campbell River, B.C.
• Represented Graham Building Services and related Graham entities in respect of the design, build and financing for the Evergreen Line Rapid Transit Project.
• Acted for a design-build joint venture in respect of the design, build, finance and maintenance for Alberta Schools Phase 3.
• Acted for a design-build joint venture in respect of the design, build, finance, and maintenance for Alberta Schools Phase 2.
• Acted as lead counsel for a design-build joint venture in respect of its bid on the Darlington water treatment plant.
