Anirudh Kshemendranath is a seasoned energy consultant with over a decade of experience shaping energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and clean technology adoption
across North America. With expertise spanning distributed energy resources (DERs), energy storage, rate design, and system planning, Anirudh has led high-impact projects that bridge technical analysis, policy strategy, and regulatory decision-making to accelerate the clean energy transition.

At Dunsky Energy + Climate Advisors, Anirudh leads projects at the intersection of regulation, policy design, and emerging technologies. He has spearheaded DER integration roadmaps and compensation frameworks in Ontario and Nova Scotia, developed hydrogen adoption and export strategies for provincial and federal governments, and led long-duration energy storage (LDES) studies that informed investment and innovation funding decisions. His work combines rigorous economic modeling with stakeholder and regulatory engagement, ensuring that system planning and policy reforms are both technically robust and publicly aligned.

Anirudh is frequently called upon as an expert witness in regulatory proceedings, shaping solar compensation, rate design, and net metering reforms across jurisdictions including New Hampshire, British Columbia, Virginia, and Maine. He has also supported utility-scale storage procurement decisions, EV rate design modernization, and tariff reform initiatives to align regulatory frameworks with electrification and decarbonization goals.

Before joining Dunsky, Anirudh worked with Strategen Consulting in California, advising policymakers, utilities, and private-sector clients on market entry strategies, clean energy
roadmaps, and energy storage economics. He holds a Master’s in Energy Science, Technology, and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s in Metallurgy and
Materials Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
