Michael “Mike” McManus is the Chief Strategy Officer at Prevalon, a Mitsubishi Power Americas company. Prevalon is focused on developing and implementing innovative energy storage solutions at utility scale to ensure a more sustainable future. The company empowers its customers by providing them with proven technology and valuable expertise as they navigate the fast-moving global energy transition.
At Prevalon, Mike is responsible for the company’s global business development, sales, and marketing functions. He has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector with leadership positions in sales, business development, business strategy, product strategy, and product line marketing. He joined Mitsubishi Power in 2018 where he served as Vice President of Sales and Commercial Operations for Battery Energy Storage Solutions Globally.
Before joining Mitsubishi Power in 2018, Mike held a variety of roles at Siemens (1996-2017), including leading the strategy and business development for onshore wind, product strategy for gas turbines operating in combined cycle, as well as thermal design and new product development of gas turbines (combined cycle). Early in his career, he worked for an architect engineer with roles in operations, commissioning, and design of combined cycle facilities.
His career began with the Parsons Power Group in 1989 as a mechanical engineer. Mike holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Marine Engineering Systems from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
