Sean Tutak

Sean Tutak is Haudenosaunee and a proud member of Tyendinaga First Nation. Sean joined the Hydro One team in January of 2023 and currently holds the title of Director, Indigenous Partnerships and Business Development.
In his role, Sean is responsible for leading the team that is actively negotiating and implementing Hydro One’s First Nation 50-50 Equity Partnership model, and has been instrumental in working with Hydro One’s First Nation partners to advance a portfolio of large-scale transmission projects across Ontario. Sean and his team are currently working with 58 First Nations across the province on the First Nation’s equity model.
Prior to joining Hydro One, Sean spent 15 years in Indigenous Relations as a leader within the Ontario and Federal Public services. During his tenure, Sean led and was involved in the development of wide array of policy and legislation, the advancement of land claims and overseeing numerous engagement and consultation processes. Over this period, Sean led roughly $4 billion in negotiated settlements, claims and new programs.
