Nansy Hanna is the Senior Director, Engineering and Regulations at the Electrical Safety Authority of Ontario (ESA). In this role, she is responsible for the administration of the Electrical Distribution Safety Regulation and Product Safety Regulation and serves as the Statutory Director for the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.

Nansy works closely with Ontario electricity distributors, certification bodies, manufacturers, and a wide range of stakeholders to promote and advance a high level of electrical safety across the province. Her responsibilities also include standards and code development, with a strong focus on improving the harmonization nationally and internationally.

She represents Ontario on the Canadian Advisory Council on Electrical Safety (CACES) and participates on CSA’s Canadian Electrical Code committees. Nansy is a Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional
