Alistair Howard, P.Eng., is Vice President, Corporate Development at RE Royalties, where he leads the assessment, structuring, due diligence, and execution of renewable energy and infrastructure investment opportunities. Alistair has more than a decade of experience in renewable energy development, project finance, acquisitions, and commercial negotiations. Before joining RE Royalties, he was Director of Project Development at Boralex, where he opened the company’s Western Canada office and led development teams in Vancouver and Calgary. He previously held project finance and development roles at Alterra Power Corporation, supporting financial modelling, board-level investment recommendations, commercial documentation, and major infrastructure project execution. Alistair holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, with a focus on energy and infrastructure. He has also served in leadership and advisory roles with Clean Energy BC, the Energy Forum, and the CanWEA BC caucus.
