Roman has been optimizing battery storage in Ontario since 2018, well before storage became a mainstream asset class in the province. That early operating history now underpins one of North America's largest independent flexibility portfolios, with over 1,400 MW under active dispatch. His teams run a 24/7 real-time desk, a proprietary trading operation active in Ontario's LMP market since its 2025 launch, and a machine-learning forecasting stack that drives dispatch decisions across all five markets.
He leads Rodan's storage platform across both sides of the meter, co-optimizing behind-the-meter and front-of-meter assets against capacity, energy, and ancillary services markets simultaneously.
