Rob Youngs is the Market Lead for Canada, for Aurora Energy Research, a global firm specializing in electricity market modelling, research, and advisory. Aurora focuses on local market analytics and transaction support—Aurora’s analysts supported over $30 billion in power sector financings last year. Rob has over 15 years of experience in energy advisory and power markets. He leads Aurora’s Canadian client advisory work, with a focus on asset-level transactions (buy and sell side), portfolio valuations, and quantifying opportunities and challenges under new regulatory and policy regimes. Rob has advised clients on solar, wind, storage, hybrids, natural gas, CCUS and other technologies. Rob holds a Masters in Energy and Economics from Yale University, and prior to Aurora, he was a Senior Manager focusing on energy and climate at McKinsey and Co.
