Dena Van de Coevering is a sustainability and policy professional specializing in government relations and Canada’s evolving energy sector. She brings multidisciplinary expertise in legislative analysis, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory policy, grounded in technical experience from her early career as an Environmental Scientist.

Dena previously served as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of Provincial Parliament, supporting policy development, monitoring legislation, and engaging with industry stakeholders. She also worked in Government Relations at Alectra Utilities, analyzing regulatory developments related to grid modernization and emerging energy technologies. Her technical background in environmental compliance and permitting strengthens her ability to navigate complex regulatory pathways and project development processes.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Political Science and Ecology from the University of Guelph and a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from the University of Toronto, where her research focused on electricity policy and grid modernization in Ontario.
