Danies Lee was appointed Chief Executive Officer of NextStar Energy Inc. in May 2022 and has served on the joint venture Board of Directors since that time. He is responsible for setting the company’s strategic vision, driving growth, and empowering the NextStar Energy team to achieve ambitious goals in a dynamic environment.

Prior to this role, Lee served as Vice President of Sales Operations for LG Energy Solution, overseeing the sales and program management of key electric vehicle (EV) battery programs for the North American market.

Under his leadership, NextStar Energy began production in 2025 as Canada’s first large-scale battery manufacturing facility. Today, the company has produced over 7 million battery cells.

From Seoul, South Korea, Lee began his professional journey with LG in 2001, accumulating global operational experience across the organization.
