Matt Walz leads global commercial activity at Invinity Energy Systems (AIM: IES), a manufacturer of vanadium flow batteries – a non-flammable, non-degrading storage technology well suited to both short- and long-duration applications. Matt's work spans utility-scale grid storage and industrial behind-the-meter systems, including the world's largest planned flow battery project, a 1.5 GWh AI data center deployment in Switzerland, and North America's largest flow battery at a clean steel facility in California. He brings more than 25 years of energy industry experience across utility, distributed generation, solar and energy-as-a-service businesses, having held CEO and commercial leadership roles at companies backed by Duke Energy, AES, Macquarie and Siemens.
