Dr. Sanet graduated with honors in 1974 from the Southern California College of Optometry. He was President of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development from 1985 to 1987. He currently serves as Clinical Director of the Insight Vision Center and as Clinical Director of International Events for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry and is on staff at the San Diego Rehabilitation Institute of the Alvarado Hospital. Dr. Sanet also serves as the optometric consultant to the Olympic Centre d’Alto Rendimento in Barcelona, Spain, the Centre de Optometria in Madrid and the Vision Center -Casa de Cura Hospital in Ravenna, Italy.
Dr. Sanet has worked with numerous amateur and professional athletes including the USA Men’s and Women’s Olympic Volleyball teams, San Diego Chargers, San Diego Padres, and LPGA Golf Professionals.
Dr. Sanet is a sought after lecturer who has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, on subjects related to behavioral optometric care, vision training and practice management. His numerous awards include the California Optometric Association Young Optometrist of the Year, San Diego County Optometrist of the Year, Ralph Barstow International Award for Excellence in Professional Optometric Practice and the COVD-G.N. Getman Award for Excellence in Children’s Vision Care. In 1999, he was elected as a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academies of Practice.
