Jeremy Storvold is a Professional Engineer and Director of Utilities for the District of Summerland. He was the team lead for the recently commissioned Summerland Energy Centre, a peak shaving BESS/Solar installation. He is responsible for all aspects of Summerland’s electric utility, Summerland Power. Along with direct responsibility for Summerland Power, he has been leading the community of Summerland in achieving their energy strategy goals. Jeremy originally started working with energy storage solutions 10 years ago, designing and implementing a BESS/Solar/Diesel plant in the Canadian arctic. He is also a certified Fire Fighter and provides a unique perspective regarding BESS fire response plans.
