Technical Workshop #2: Energy Storage Modeling: Optimal Planning to Optimal Operations

As more and more renewables are getting integrated, grid operations are becoming complex. Energy storage is a versatile technology that can bring needed flexibility. Storage can serve as peaking capacity, can provide ancillary services as well as operate as a transmission and distribution asset. However, energy storage is an energy limited resource that creates a need for careful modeling to optimize the operation and maximize the value of the asset. Powered by Customized Energy Solutions’ proprietary modeling platform CoMETS, this workshop brings practitioners approach to modeling and share case studies of energy storage for planning investment decisions as well as operations.
