Gabe is the Director of Markets and Technology for the LDES Council, where he focuses on market changes, accelerating pathways for diverse long duration energy storage technologies, and working with LDES Council members on project tracking, mapping, and research. Gabe formerly served as the storage sector manager at the California ISO, where he focused on strategy for grid evolution, including evaluation of LDES as the California energy market as a pathway for reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Gabe developed models available for storage resource participation on the grid, improved tools available for operators to manage storage resources, and participated in conversation on grid makeup with state regulators. Gabe has over 10 years of experience developing ISO market policy and performing ISO market monitoring services. He holds a master’s degree in economics and an undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering.
