As the Sr. Director of the Navy Segment for Fairbanks Morse Defense, Nirav is responsible for FMD’s support of the fleet’s ships, submarines, and aircraft carriers. In his role, Nirav manages the aftermarket efforts to meet the Navy’s needs across the Fairbanks Morse Defense portfolio with parts support and service projects in every geography that the Navy operates.
A retired submarine officer, Nirav worked in various leadership positions. Over his 25-year career, he was assigned to both OHIO and LOS ANGELES Class submarines on the East and West Coast. His assignments included Engineer Officer of the USS SANTA FE and USS PASADENA, Executive Officer of the USS NEWPORT NEWS and Commanding Officer of the USS RHODE ISLAND. He conducted operations around the globe in the Persian Gulf, Western Pacific, and Northern. In his shore duty, Nirav managed submarine maintenance on the East Coast and European theater. These experiences solidified his passion for helping the Navy sustain operational readiness.
Nirav received his bachelor’s degree in system engineering from the Naval Academy and an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School.
