Hee Jin Kang, Ph.D., is the Senior Director at KRISO, South Korea’s only government funded research institute for ships and ocean engineering. Beyond national policy, he is an expert member of the Presidential Commission on 2050 Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth, a registered expert for the UN World Ocean Assessment (WOA III), and an ISO Project Leader in naval architecture. A former Navy Lieutenant Commander and industry veteran, he advises the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff, DAPA, and DTaQ.
