Khushaal Ratish Nair is a marine engineer who has worked both at sea and ashore and now serves as a Greenhouse Gases Emission Verifier. Drawing on his time on board and his current fleet monitoring role, he focuses on helping ships run more efficiently while meeting tightening environmental requirements.​

His experience covers IMO and MARPOL implementation, ballast water and biodiversity rules, and day today fuel and performance analysis. In his present position he works with vessel data, performance dashboards, and onboard teams to identify practical ways to reduce fuel consumption and emissions without disrupting operations.​
He has a particular interest in how digital tools and emerging technologies, including elements of artificial intelligence, can support smarter decision making on board and in the office.
Above all, he is motivated by the idea that decarbonization can be approached in a practical, step by step way that respects safety, supports seafarers, and keeps ships commercially attractive in a changing market.​
