Gavin Ireland is Director of In-Service Support at Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards (VSY), responsible for support solution design, transition into service, warranty, and post-delivery support for VSY-built vessels. He previously also held responsibility for Seaspan’s master scheduling, program controls, estimating and data analytics.

Before joining Seaspan, Gavin contributed to major defence programs in the UK and internationally, including the Astute-class submarine, Eurofighter Typhoon, Lockheed Martin F-35, and the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers. His career has focused on industry-customer collaboration, including managing joint training schools with the UK Royal Air Force, representing BAE Systems within the Aircraft Carrier Alliance during the delivery of HMS Prince of Wales, and leading the closure of the Alliance.
