A professional engineer with over 10 years in the marine and defence industries as a Naval Architect after graduating from Memorial University, Robert would describe himself as well rounded with a solid grounding in analysis and design. General areas of knowledge include general arrangements, intact and damage stability, machinery selection, structural analysis, and resistance and propulsion estimates. Particular strengths include extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD and modelling, seakeeping analysis, and hull form design and fairing. He has a particular passion for design - especially at the concept and preliminary level - and enjoys the collaborative engineering challenge of this creative process.
