Jesse Neufeld grew up in BC’s interior and studied Civil Engineering at UBC. At university he became an avid sailor and joined the human-powered submarine team, leading to his first SNAME presentation and an ongoing ROV interest. After graduating, he consulted with Tetra Tech on projects in mining, transportation, and energy. He then moved into public service with the City of Vancouver, working on the sewer team and later leading planning for the RainCity Green Infrastructure program, which advanced the City’s approach to urban stormwater management. Jesse returned to consulting with Kerr Wood Leidal, leading community asset-management programs focused on water infrastructure and supporting Indigenous communities. After relocating to Victoria, he led the City of Victoria’s transportation design and construction team. In 2023, Jesse joined BC Ferries as a Program Manager in terminal construction, leading project managers delivering terminal infrastructure. In 2025, he moved to Fleet Renewal as Program Manager, Infrastructure, overseeing terminal upgrades required to support new vessels, including electrification.
