Andrew Morgenstern OD, FAAO, FNAP

Andrew Morgenstern, OD FAAO FNAP is the contract Optometric Subject Matter Expert for the United States Defense Health Agency, J-9, Vision Center of Excellence located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He is also the Interim Director and Methodologist of the Clinical Resources Group that develops the Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guidelines for the American Optometric Association. Dr. Morgenstern has served as the Co-Chair of the Ophthalmologic Disease Management Clinical Sub-Committee for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) Episode-Based Resource Use Measures. He is a graduate of Boston University (B.S.), Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry (O.D., Clinical Honors) and completed his training at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (BPEI) at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Morgenstern has special clinical interest in corneal refractive surgery; corneal ectatic disease and treatment; visual dysfunction associated with traumatic brain injury and diabetic eye disease.
