Bachir Taouli, MD, MHA is Professor of Radiology in the Abdominal Imaging/Body MRI Section in the Department of Radiology, and the BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute (BMEII) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr Taouli is the director of Body MRI and Cancer Imaging in the Department of Radiology and BMEII, co-chief of the abdominal imaging section and vice-chair for translational research in the Department of Radiology. Dr. Taouli is a clinician scientist with expertise in the application of advanced MRI methods in chronic liver disease, liver cancer and other abdominal and pelvic malignancies. He directs the Body MRI quantitative group at BMEII. Dr Taouli has been named “Distinguished Investigator” of the Academy of Radiology Research, fellow of the SAR, ISMRM, ICIS and recently SABI.
