Dr Carolina Souza is a thoracic radiologist and Associate Professor at the Department of Medical Imaging and Department of Medicine, Respirology Division at the University of Ottawa. She is Associate Editor for the CARJ and Director of the Education Subcomittee of the Canadian Society of Thoracic Radiology (CSTR). Dr Souza is an appointed member of the Global Health Clinical Council and the VP of the RAD-AID International Chapter at the University of Ottawa. She has been pivotal in the implementation of the MDD-ILD meetings at The Ottawa Hospital and has been the lead radiologist since 2013. Dr Souza is passionate about education and has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international conferences. She has also been actively involved in teaching and global health initiatives with the CAR, RSNA and with RAD-AID International. Her main areas of interest include interstitial lung disease, advances in lung cancer, medical education and global health imaging.
