Accredited Symposium: Fibrotic and Non-Fibrotic Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD): Unravelling Patterns and Challenging Cases

Not Just Inflammatory/Infectious: Pattern-based Approach to Non-Fibrotic ILD
Jessie Kang

This session will provide a case-based approach to chronic non-fibrotic interstitial lung disease, reviewing definitions, an overview of disease entities with an emphasis on importance of clinical and radiologic correlation. Pearls and pitfalls of CT imaging patterns to help narrow down the differential diagnosis will be highlighted.

By the end of this session, participants will be better able to:
- Review non-fibrotic interstitial lung diseases through a case-based approach
- Use specific patterns to help identify the types of non-fibrotic interstitial lung disease and narrow down the differential diagnosis, recognizing the importance of differentiating between acute versus chronic processes.

Fibrotic ILDs Demystified: Image Interpretation of Fibrotic ILDs on HRCT
Scott Adams

This session will provide an overview of fibrotic ILDs, including their classification, imaging patterns, current guidelines, and diagnostic criteria. The session will emphasize practical points for practicing radiologists interpreting fibrotic ILD cases on HRCT.

By the end of this session, participants will be better able to:
- Describe the classification of fibrotic ILDs
- Identify and differentiate imaging patterns of fibrotic ILDs on HRCT
- Integrate clinical-radiological-pathological correlation to enhance diagnostic accuracy through multidisciplinary collaboration

What Do I Do Now? Case-Based Review of Challenging ILD Cases and Practical Clues for Reporting, Diagnosis, and Management
Carolina Souza

Using a case-based format, challenging HRCT cases and complex clinical scenarios encountered in clinical practice will be presented. Emphasis will be given to a systematic approach to imaging diagnosis based on current guidelines and the essential role of multidisciplinary diagnosis.

By the end of this session, participants will be better able to:
- Discuss cases of fibrotic and non-fibrotic interstitial lung diseases that may pose a diagnostic challenge and provide a systematic approach, based on current guidelines, to diagnosis and management
- Emphasize the importance of clinical-radiological correlation in the diagnosis and management of ILD
