Dr. Juliana Chamadoira is a fellowship-trained MD radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging and offers over seven years of independent experience in the field. Her journey began in Brazil, where she completed medical school, a residency program in Diagnostic Radiology, and a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Rio de Janeiro. After completing her training, she worked independently for two years in both private and academic settings as a dedicated breast radiologist. In 2020, she relocated to Canada with the goal of immersing herself in cutting-edge technology and a broader healthcare system renowned for excellence in diagnosing and treating breast cancer. She also aimed to engage in research projects to contribute to the academic community and potentially enhance our understanding of breast cancer and how the effectiveness of screening and early diagnosis can be improved. Upon her arrival in Canada, she underwent specialized training in breast imaging at the JDMI and currently she is a breast imaging clinical fellow at St. Michael's Hospital. These nearly four years of fellowship program training in Canada, combined with her previous training and experience in Brazil, have culminated in a unique set of skills, expertise, and confidence to perform all breast procedures with precision, distinguished patient recognition, and passion for her work. She is grateful for the opportunity to practice all modalities and learn from notable leaders
in the field. Engaging in research and teaching has allowed her to continually develop new skills and contribute to the academic community. This comprehensive training has shaped her into a well-rounded breast radiologist, enabling her to provide the highest
level of care to her patients.
