Dr. Francesca Iacobellis is a Radiology Consultant at the Department of General and Emergency Radiology, Antonio Cardarelli Hospital in Naples, Italy. She has extensive experience in emergency and body imaging, performing and reporting ultrasound, CT, and MRI examinations in both elective and emergency settings.
She graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery and completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a PhD in Translational Medicine at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli.” She also holds a Level II Master’s Degree in Health Economics and Management and the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in Diagnostic Imaging.
Dr. Iacobellis’s main clinical and research interests include emergency and trauma imaging, abdominal and vascular radiology, and oncologic imaging. Her scientific activity encompasses both preclinical and clinical research, with several publications in peer-reviewed international journals and active participation in collaborative studies. She has received multiple awards, including the Tomography Best Paper Award (2024) and RSNA Cum Laude Awards (2012, 2013).
She currently serves as Vice-President of the Italian Society of Medical and Interventional Radiology (SIRM) Emergency Radiology Section (2025–2026) and Vice-President of the European Society of Emergency Radiology (ESER, 2025–2027). She is also a member of the ESR e-Learning Subcommittee and serves on several editorial boards.
Dr. Iacobellis is a frequent invited speaker and faculty member at national and international conferences and lectures in postgraduate and master’s programs in interventional and emergency radiology.
