Daniel Mandell is an Associate Professor of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto where he serves as the Division Head for neuroradiology. He has practiced at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging / Toronto Western Hospital since 2011. He serves as Section Head of Diagnostic Neuroradiology at JDMI.
Dr. Mandell studied medicine at McMaster University and completed his specialty training in radiology and neuroradiology at the University of Toronto. He is Board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology. Dr. Mandell was the first neuroradiologist to complete the Royal College Clinician Investigator Program and he received his PhD from the University of Toronto for work on functional magnetic resonance imaging of cerebrovascular disease. Dr. Mandell’s research focuses on imaging to prevent stroke and cognitive impairment.
