As VP, Grid Solutions at Enwave Energy Corporation – Canada’s largest core competency district energy company – Katherine’s focus is on developing clean electricity solutions for Enwave’s utility and real property customers that support their needs for reliable, affordable, sustainable energy, and that complement Enwave’s well-established thermal energy services. Katherine also leads Enwave’s Government Relations efforts with a focus on creating policy and regulatory environments that are conducive to new clean energy opportunities for Enwave and partners across Canada.

Katherine has over 20 years of experience in the Canadian energy sector – including previously serving as the Ontario IESO’s Director, Innovation, Research & Development. During her time at the IESO, Katherine led the design and delivery of some North America’s most cost-effective, reliable and innovative energy efficiency programs. She also led the development of North America’s first local energy market and championed the integration of storage, hybrids and distributed energy resources into Ontario’s electricity system. An urban planner by training, Katherine is an experienced corporate director, having previously served on the board of Enerquality Corporation and currently serving on the board of Energy Storage Canada.

Katherine is an occasional instructor in the Master of Law, Energy & Infrastructure program at Osgoode Hall, a member of the Clean 50 and is honoured to serve as a mentor in the Women in Energy Canada’s mentorship program.
In her personal time Katherine likes to run, downhill ski and spend time outdoors with her husband and three adventurous kids.
