The Energy Storage Decade - Global Perspectives

In November 2021, Bloomberg NEF’s Global Energy Storage Outlook named this the ‘Energy Storage Decade,’ predicting 20 times the gigawatt hours of energy storage online by 2030 – more than the entirety of Japan’s generating capacity in 2020! The energy storage industry is certainly moving at a rapid pace, with Canada continuing to serve as an industry leader, but for this session we’re excited to share a global perspective of the ‘Energy Storage Decade’ from some of Energy Storage’s incredible partners and counterparts around the world. The industry is moving fast – is it fast enough? What challenges are we facing to continue or exceed our pace long-term? Are we living up to the promise of the energy storage decade?
