Charging Alberta’s Energy Transformation with Energy Storage
Wednesday, October 4, 2023, 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM
With a minimum of 8 to 12 GW of energy storage development potential nationwide and only 1 GW of storage currently deployed, there is a wide gap to fill to realize the country’s energy storage potential. One of the provinces with the largest potential for that development is Alberta, where a diversity of storage technologies will ensure system reliability and connectivity & accelerate the decarbonization of the electricity grid. This panel will explore the diversity of potential roles for energy storage in Alberta and the key drivers needed to see this potential realized.
