Ron brings 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, focusing on vehicle product development and manufacturing technology optimization, before transitioning to the defence sector in 2008. Since 2008, he has held various roles, contributing to significant projects such as the Victoria Class submarine refits and engineering changes, systems design and commissioning of electronic systems for the Canadian Coast Guard ships OFSV and OOSV, and the Royal Canadian Navy’s Joint Support Ships (JSS).
Currently, Ron serves as the Head of Projects and Programs for Vard Marine, where he also managed the concept design for the New Zealand Offshore Patrol Vessel, intended for operations in the Antarctic. He is an active member of SNAME, serving as Chair of the Eastern Canadian Section. Additionally, he is a Professional Engineer in Ontario and a Project Management Professional with PMI.
