Drew Orvieto is a recognized leader in marine technology and sustainability. He is currently the Director of Marine Solutions at Siemens Energy and has led the propulsion integration efforts in several of the country’s leading ferry electrification programs. With a background in naval architecture, product design, and business development, he has earned multiple patents for maritime hardware and software products and actively contributes to maritime regulatory and innovation organizations. He has been leading the southeast section of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers for the past 3 years and serves on the American Boat and Yacht Council’s technical committees for propulsion and autonomy. He is a regular speaker at maritime events and contributes frequently to industry publications.
